EuroCham Vietnam

The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam is the principle voice of the European business community in Vietnam. Better known as EuroCham, the Chamber was established in 1998 to assist the development of the economic, commercial and legal environment in Vietnam on behalf of the European business community in the country. An apolitical, independent and not-for-profit organization, the Chamber further works to assist Vietnamese business wishing to trade with and invest in the EU and to facilitate European investment in Vietnam.

Advocate your business interests 
 
Lobbying and Advocacy: Despite considerable improvements in the business environment in Vietnam in recent years, there remains a number of constraints to business growth and potential. EuroCham believes that if such issues are left unresolved, they could inhibit Vietnam’s sustainable growth and may create detrimental conditions for both the local and foreign business community, and society as a whole.

Through our Sector Committees, EuroCham provides members with channels to share and disseminate information, network and advocate business interests and issues on common ground. We strongly encourage new and existing members to channel their issues and suggestions by taking an active role in one or more of Sector Committees.

Trade Issues: As one of the largest business associations in Vietnam and the region, we take very seriously our role as a prime mediator between the business community and the local, national, European and regional governments and authorities. Each year, EuroCham presents its Position Paper at the biannual Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) and where necessary, submits letters to the relevant authorities highlighting outstanding issues inhibiting trade and investment in Vietnam. 
 
Vietnam - EU Business Forum: To help foster and accelerate Vietnam - EU economic ties, we lobbied for the creation of the Vietnam - EU Business Forum, which was inaugurated in 2006 between EuroCham and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). Asia-wide sectorial review of business environment We recognize a number of our members have business interests that take them beyond Vietnam.  EuroCham is working with fellow European Business Organizations in the region to provide a single electronic platform that reports and highlights on all major trade issues for European business in the Asian region, and that provides concrete recommendations to the local, national and regional authorities. European Business Organisations Network: Across the globe, organizations like EuroCham are carrying out similar duties and tasks for their members.
